Sunday morning was Chicken Wranglin’ Day. Mark and I got up and carried two large dog crates over the the old farm. We then spent the next 10 minutes catching and crating up 53 half grown chickens to take over to the new farm.
It was not that hard to get the chicks (at first). There are so many of them that when they run into the pen’s corners you can just dart in and grab a few. You have to be much more nimble as the numbers dwindle – down to the quickest and smartest ones (?) – and they can manuever around more in the large pen.
All made it back safe and sound and seem to be really enjoying their new digs AKA the Chicken Palace.
