New, AWESOME Yarn From Our Flock – Yahoo!

Sooooo EXCITED about how this latest batch of 100% Finnsheep fleece spun up!!!! Look at the depth and luster of this yarn. This is NOT dyed. Everyone who has worked with our yarn has fallen in love with it. All yarn is 2 ply light to mid weight. 175 yards per skein @ $18/skein. All yarn is soft and can be worn against the skin.  So what do you have here? From left to right:

1. Roving from a white ewe (Mary)
2. White from our 3 white ewes
3. Light heathered grey from our white and black piebald ewe Rachel
4. Deep grey which is a blend of Mary (white ewe) and black ewe (Luann)
5. Deep black from our black ewe Luann

Gorgeous yarn! I love the colors, particularly the dark one.

  2. How much do each skein weigh? They came out lovely! If you have any roving for sale, I’d be interested. I really enjoyed working with it last time. :0)

    • I’d have to weight them, but previously the white is finer and weight 3.1 ounces and the black was heavier at 3.7 ounces. I do have the white roving at $2.50/ounce. Let me know if you want me to hook you up or weight a particular color skein

Such lovely yarn, and it looks so soft.

I can see a nice cowl in a seed stitch pattern which will show off the colors in the yarn and keep the head/neck warm!!!

Congrats on stepping out of the corporate world too!
    Awesome wool there!

  6. Thanks all for your compliments on how the yarn turned out. It really is nice! The white roving is incredibley soft. Now, if I could just KNIT!

The yard you’ve produced looks lovely! I wish I knew how to knit as well! Good luck! You’ll have to post up your first piece, if you do learn!
